Design Guide
This guide will ensure the best photo or design for your plates.
These 3 points are very important:
1. Image resolution:
The resolution of your photo or design must be 300dpi
2. Image Size: The pixel size must be no less than 3000 x 3000 (in some cases the highest quality setting in your digital camera)
3. Digital Image: The image that you provide us must be digital. If you are posting your photo or design to us, it must be a digital image on a CD. We can not accept a paper photo.

What photos work the best?
Space
It is important to have space around the main subject of your photo. Picture A at top-left is a good example as there is ample room for the personal message as well as enough space to ensure the couple isn't 'chopped' when the plate is made. Picture B would have been better if there was more space around the head.Feathering
If your background has strong colours, as picture A, with little 'texture' we will 'feather' the edges. Feathering has the effect of colour gradually fading to the edge of the plate. If we don't feather the edges, the ink may collect in naturally occurring creases that occurs during the moulding process.
Picture C is a good example of a background with good 'texture'. This is also a good example of a photo with good space around the main subject.
Light Backgrounds
We will do whatever we can to make your photo work in the best possible way for your plate. However, lighter backgrounds with good texture or variations in the image work best. Picture D is a good example of this.We will work your photo to achieve the best plate design. And remember you will receive a pdf of the final design for your approval before we proceed with manufacturing.
